What is a CSA/ Farm Share
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
A Farmshare typically refers to a regular quantity of food picked up by an eater right from a farmer.
CSA’s are a model in which you, the eater of food, and Us, the growers of food, are in a symbiotic relationship.
By signing up early in the season the farm is better able to plan, & get going financially before produce is ready to sell. The farmers design the season’s crop plan around giving eaters a bag of fresh, nutrient-dense vegetables each week.
It’s a model that includes shared risk, and shared bennefits. You get a consistant low price for delicious produce all season long. But, If a crop doesn’t do well or is attacked by pests, you may not see it in your share.
Our job as CSA farmers is to mitigate risks, and grow lots of food.

Available: June 01 – October 19, OR
June 01-July 27, OR August 3-October 19

How to Signup
Our CSA and new online farm stand are organized through a platform called GrownBy. You can choose which part of the season you want your CSA for, and which size, or type of CSA you would like.
We recommend downloading the GrownBy app so you can receive notifications and reminders, or purchase add-ons from your phone.
What is a Tiny Share?
!!!This is a Specialty Product!!! The Tiny Share offers Song Sparrow Farm Grown, & other locally grown miniature and baby crops.
Each week your pickup will include 5-7 unique tiny crops.
At Song Sparrow Farm we are working to expand access to healthy food, in lots of ways.
One way is to increase the cute factor! People love cute food. If it happens to be super nutrient dense and from some happy queer farmers, then all the better!
The Tint Share is giving vegetable realness! We’ll be serving tiny tomatoes that bust with sweetness, lunchbox bell peppers, tiny gherkins, fully ripe baby carrots, & tiny spicy peppers.
Each share might have repeats, new additions, or completely exclusive items, never to be seen again. You can count on a big variety of tiny crops to delight the senses every week for July, August & September!
What is a Full Share?
Enjoy all that Song Sparrow has to offer, with our lowest available price per pound.
The Full Season Full Share will get 7-9 items each week, June-October.
The Full Share contains a weekly ‘farmer’s choice’ allotment of super fresh produce.
All CSA members have access to the “Share Trade table,” in order to remove items they are not as fond of, and trade them with an item they like more. All weekly herb offerings will be free choice.
All Full Shares have Song Sparrow Farm Lettuce Mix and will have 6-8 other farm grown items.
The Full Season Full Share will get to try a little bit of nearly everything we grow at Song Sparrow this year: eggplant heirloom tomato 5+ varieties of cherry tomato baby, lunchbox, or snack sweet pepper specialty sweet pepper carrot melon celery radish beet hakurei turnip kale collards cabbages chive onion green onion garlic cucumber squash beans potato & more
What is a Small Share?
The June and July Small Share is a collection of Song Sparrow Farm’s most popular items, setup weekly by the farmers.
The Fall Full Share contains a weekly ‘farmer’s choice’ allotment of super fresh produce.
All CSA members have access to the “Share Trade table,” in order to remove items they are not as fond of, and trade them with an item they like more. All weekly herb offerings will be free choice.
The small share always has a salad mix, and will have 3-4 other farm grown items. June/July Share features kale collards chard carrot radish beet onion scallion chive hakurei turnip cucumber cherry tomato summer squash beans & more.
What is a Raw Snack Share?
**We created this share as an easy snack choice!** The Raw Snack Share offers raw snackable crops, the freshest offerings from Song Sparrow Farm.
The Raw Snack Share contains a weekly ‘farmer’s choice’ allotment of super fresh produce.
All CSA members have access to the “Share Trade table,” in order to remove items they are not as fond of, and trade them with an item they like more. All weekly herb offerings will be free choice.
The Raw Snack Share always has salad mix and will have 4 or 5 other farm grown raw edible items.
The August September October Raw Snack Share Features: heirloom tomato 5+ varieties of cherry tomato baby, lunchbox, or snack sweet pepper, specialty sweet pepper, carrot, melon, celery, radish, beet, hakurei turnip, kale, bok choi, chive, green onion, cucumber, beans & more
Payment Options
We welcome Farmshare purchases via cashapp, venmo, cash, or check, which do not cost us anthing. Additionally, farmshares can be purchased with major Credit Cards through our GrownBy Farm Store.
If you choose to use Venmmo or Cashapp please include the name of the pickup people, and the size and schedule, try to use the wording we use on GrownBy.
The quantitiy of availible CSA’s on the Grownby store reflects the hope we have that some mebers will prefer to pay via cashapp, venmo, cash, or check.

You can pick up your share each week on WEDNESDAYS from 3-7 PM.

At the Florence Organic Community Garden
At 140 Meadow St. in Florence.
Schedules and Sizes
We are offering 4 Shares this year, some share sizes are offered in two units, others are only availbe during one time period.
Full and Small/Snack Shares are availible for the whole season at a reduced rate.

Eggs + Extras Shares
Egg Share:
In the past Song Sparrow Farm Share Members had the option of signing up for an Egg Share. We are currently working with two farms to offer this opportunity for 2022. We will send out emails and updat ethis website and our Social Media pages when Egg Shares are avail.
Extras Share:
New add on shares are popping up all over the local food community. We are hoping shareholders in 2022 can educate us on what kinds of extras you would like as options for fall 2022 and beyond.
We are considering bouquet Shares, You Pick Shares, Local Fruit Shares, and more. If you have interests, let us know!
